APPARTEMENT T
Located under the Parisian rooftops, on the 6th and top floor of a bourgeois building, this project stands out for its atypical character and exceptional volumes. The former service rooms have been converted into two separate apartments. The double-height attic reveals the original timber frame, creating a warm and unique atmosphere.
Our attention was focused on one of the two apartments. The demolition of partitions opened up the space to a double-height through room, bathed in natural light by large roof-hung workshop skylights, highlighting the architectural beauty of the volumes.
The apartment features a sober, minimalist design in which white predominates, combined with warm oak parquet flooring. This neutral backdrop enhances the owners' collection of objects and pop art. The clean lines of the custom-designed furniture create visual harmony while subtly structuring the spaces.
The major challenge was to create distinct zones without compromising the fluidity of the space. The clever arrangement of furniture, integrating functional partitions without visually weighing down the environment, enabled natural circulation and clear definition of the different spaces.
The bathrooms, clad in colored concrete (sky blue, blood red and fern green), offer a unique sensory experience, accentuated by the judicious use of mirrors to visually enlarge the spaces.
