Tim Stoop
Tim Stoop (28) is trained as an architect at TU Delft. His practice moves between research, design, and construction, with a particular focus on the intersection of craftsmanship, material reuse, and the sensory qualities of space. His experience spans architectural offices and hands-on building sites in the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Japan. This combination of academic training and direct making informs his approach: projects that are not only conceived on paper but tested and realized by self building.
Current work explores the potential of small-scale, temporary, and site-specific architectures that negotiate between landscape, installation, and interior. Increasingly, this means a shift away from purely office based design towards making objects and structures directly himself. Whether designing architecture, a staircase, or a piece of furniture, his interest lies in how construction methods, material narratives, and spatial gestures can shape perception and evoke a heightened awareness of place.
Tim Stoop is an architectural practice based in Delft, Netherlands.
