Leonhard Clemens
LNCL is a collaborative practice for architecture and urbanism founded by Leonhard Clemens. Working from within the traditional boundaries of its discipline, LNCL includes various sorts of research methods and media such as photography, writing or editing in its design process to expand its views and interest beyond the limits of conventional architectural thinking and across various scales. In this, architecture offers just one of many potential answers – a possible translation of contemporary questions on social relations, politics, economics and ecologies into material and spatial properties. Underlying the work of LNCL is the desire to combine, juxtapose and reinvent those relations through the conceptual and structural framework of architecture and design, promoting new forms of living, alternative models of ownership and new ways to inhabit this world.
Leonhard Clemens is an architectural practice based in Berlin, Germany.
