HOTEL MORAVA
The architecture studio Architekti Šebo Lichý (ASL), in collaboration with GRAU, is behind the renovation of Zotavovňa Morava in Tatranská Lomnica, an iconic Functionalist building designed by Bohuslav Fuchs in 1933. The renovation respects the building’s history while moving it forward. The aim was to restore the genius loci of this symbol of mountain recreation, revive the historical and social value of its period Functionalist architecture, and at the same time elevate it to the standards of a contemporary hotel stay. The renovation restores the original geometry of the façades, communal and dining spaces, as well as the terraces. The basement has been transformed into a new wellness area, while the rooftop terrace offers views of the High Tatras.
