La Maison du Projet de La Saulaie
La Maison du Projet is a symbol of new environmental requirements, fully illustrating the future urban vocation of La Saulaie district: conceived as a facility open to everyone, at the interface between the historic district and the area under construction, it is a place for information, mediation, and consultation.
The façade cladding is composed of shutters and louvers sourced from the Rhône-Alpes region. Shutters, an element used in both office buildings and housing, reflect the mixed residential/office mix found in the urban project. A quintessential everyday object, the shutter also nods to the suburban character of the neighborhood.
The involvement of local stakeholders in the façade's implementation contributed to its acceptance. The shutters were painted as part of a youth work project organized by the Oullins Youth Services.
