Vivienda en el centro histórico
Dwelling in the historic centre of Seville, on a very deep plot with a very narrow street frontage, organized over three floors and connected through a sequence of courtyards that ensure natural light and ventilation. The existing façade is preserved in accordance with planning regulations, while the rest of the building is newly constructed. On the ground floor are the entrance and the rooms linked to the courtyard facing the street. The house extends towards a second inner courtyard and reaches, at the far end, a third and smaller patio. Along the length of the plot, an indoor swimming pool is inserted. The first floor contains four bedrooms, arranged around the courtyards to ensure natural light and cross ventilation. On the second floor there is a large living room with direct access to the spacious terrace, the kitchen, and the main bedroom. A system of awnings makes it possible to cover the sequence of courtyards, controlling solar exposure and improving comfort during the warmer seasons. The structure is built with concrete walls and slabs. The palette of materials is deliberately limited: exposed concrete painted white and grey stone flooring. The depth of the plot becomes evident from almost every point within the house.
