The new mattress store designed by JOTAJOTA+ redefines a commercial space as a domestic experience. The project offers a free-flowing path through different environments, allowing each visitor to try the products as if they were in their own home.
The spatial strategy is defined by a wooden perimeter that organizes headboards and commercial information, while privacy is achieved through the interplay of differentiated flooring and suspended elements. Combined with sinuous tracks and large curtains, these elements create intimate and clearly defined spaces, shaping both perception and movement throughout the store.
Three key gestures define the proposal: the entrance, the flooring, and the suspended elements. The façade, composed of a large yellow moulding and a sheet-metal stair, introduces a diagonal access that connects the street with the interior, acting as a strong visual attractor.
The floor design combines large-format neutral tiles, which establish a continuous base, with yellow carpets that mark the different domestic environments. Suspended tracks and curtains filter views, guide circulation, and create moments of privacy where visitors can comfortably test the mattresses.
The layout encourages individual exploration. Visitors are free to choose their own path while the space surrounds, surprises, and transforms the act of shopping into a more intimate and personal experience, where each setting reveals the comfort and distinct character of the mattresses.
