H7 HOUSE
Located in the forests of the Argentine coast, this house, designed as a seasonal residence, reflects the most significant intentions and architectural pursuits of the studio. The project acknowledges the particular topography of undulating dunes that place the lot in a valley or hollow—a geographical condition that became the founding premise of the work to avoid flooding risks and to enhance views of the natural surroundings.
Seeking to reflect a coastal identity rooted in the most common construction methods of the area, the house is defined through the synthesis of its main elements: the base and the roof. This formal resolution allows for a dialogue between different materials, using exposed concrete for the solid connection with the ground, and lighter steel and wood systems for the elevated structures. This achieves an evident sincerity where structure and language become one.
To understand the functional development, the floor plan is organized by placing the entrance and the kitchen in parallel as a neuralgic core. This distribution maintains the separation between public and private areas while strengthening the link with the home's most relevant functions. In section, the strategy of detaching the house from the ground allows for a unified and elevated living level, ensuring the fluid movement of sand and preserving the dynamics of the dunes.
In conclusion, H7 House attempts to respond to its prevailing context. We understand that to inhabit a site is not to impose oneself upon the land, but rather to achieve a profound connection with its natural logic.
