Casa Sotto La Nuvola
The design of Casa Sotto La Nuvola follows a path of reconstructive renovation. Located in Tuscany, in San Miniato (PI), the house is set within a captivating landscape of olive-covered hills, near the historic Via Francigena.
The building consists of two separate yet connected volumes, designed to ensure privacy between the main house and the guesthouse. Its floor plan is deliberately simple and traditional, preserving the ancestral concept of a home: a rectangle topped by a triangle, forming a classic gabled roof.
The interiors of the main building take an innovative approach, departing from tradition. The bedrooms are situated on the ground floor, while the living area is located on the basement level, an approach that echoes some iconic examples of modern architecture.
