Maison des Vallées - Valmondois
Located within the Vexin Regional Natural Park, this passive house achieves very low energy consumption through a careful siting strategy and high-performance thermal envelope. A naturopathy practice is integrated into the project and opens directly onto the street, establishing a dialogue between private dwelling and public function.
The perpendicular orientation of the house in relation to the street stems from the following architectural intentions:
to maximize passive solar gains from the south, reinforcing the innovative bioclimatic character of the project;
to embed the building within the existing topography, reducing its visual impact from the public realm through a restrained, low-profile volume;
