Aldo Andreani 1887‑1971. Visioni, costruzioni, immagini.
Project on the architect and sculptor Aldo Andreani (1887–1971), curated by Roberto Dulio and Mario Lupano, with a book published by Electa Architettura. Exhibition for Expo Architettura 2015 at Palazzo Te, Mantova.
In 2015 I created a photographic project dedicated to the work of the architect and sculptor Aldo Andreani (1887–1971), for the exhibition “Aldo Andreani. Architecture, City, Spectacle”, curated by Roberto Dulio and Mario Lupano at Palazzo Te, Mantova, as part of Expo Architettura 2015.
The project explored Andreani’s dual nature as both architect and sculptor, investigating his theatrical conception of space and the sculptural tension of form. The photographs reveal the complexity of his buildings — a balance between structural rigor and imagination, between material and light, architecture and mise-en-scène.
The images were published in the book Aldo Andreani. Architecture, City, Spectacle, issued by Electa Architettura, accompanying the exhibition and expanding its visual research, offering a contemporary portrait of one of the key figures of twentieth-century Italian architecture.
