The pavilion plays with shapes and perspective. The shapes meet at points.
The structure touches the ground lightly - leaving space for light, air, sounds, and smells to move freely.

Located within a K-12 private school campus in Wuhou District, Chengdu, the project provides an outdoor gathering space for students, teachers, and visitors. The pavilion is situated within a green belt that contains numerous circulation paths. By keeping the enclosure porous, movement and sightlines through the site are maintained. A leaf-shaped plaza creates a gradual approach while resolving elevation changes.
The CLT structure was prefabricated, allowing assembly to be completed in three days. Polycarbonate panels are used on the east facade, while the roof is clad in a combination of corrugated aluminum and polycarbonate. For economy of material, offcuts from the CLT panels were used to create a series of stools.
