At the heart of the Angle of Repose lake house lies the conviction that design excellence and environmental performance are inextricably bound. The project brief was to design a beautiful, inscrutable house with the highest level of sustainability.
The design team partnered with local builders to produce this sculptural object nestled in the woods. A digitally fabricated mass timber structure was selected to deliver the unique geometry of the project. 2.8-foot-thick walls, ultra-high performance glazing and electric building systems result in dramatic GHG reductions and Passive House Certification.
