Apartment in the 17th Arrondissement
The project is located in a Haussmannian stone building in the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The long kitchen layout and the square central island structure the apartment’s flow and functions. The kitchen, positioned at the heart of the apartment and open to the dining room, is designed as the main living space. It creates a large open volume in place of the former layout (blind corridors and bedrooms), offering new perspectives and connections between the living areas.
Special attention was given to enhancing the alignment of windows — a hallmark of Haussmannian apartments — while introducing a sense of modernity.
The monochrome “stone-toned” palette, inspired by Haussmannian architecture, unifies the built-in joinery and custom-made furnishings. Two key features define the project: a suspended kitchen and a bookcase inspired by traditional workshop furniture.
