PIAZZA GINA BORELLINI Ed ‘EX PALAZZO MARI’
The catastrophe that struck Concordia in May 2012 must become an opportunity for the community to redevelop and relaunch the Historic Center and the surrounding territory. The new layout should serve as a chance to project Concordia into the future, influencing the collective imagination to evoke both historical memory and modernity. A new chapter must begin — a new start that does not forget the past. The transformation of Viale Garibaldi into an urban square is the ideal connection between the established historic center and the new developments planned in the Reconstruction Plan. The new square is a new central hub, a pivot between past, present, and future; a physical space to generate events and initiatives that will help revive the town itself. It must serve as the heart and the unifying element for the entire municipal territory.
