Módulo Hábitat
Spatial Efficiency in Housing
Space exploration has left us with a legacy that goes beyond science: the ability to maximize the efficiency of habitable spaces. Habitat modules are an integral part of spacecraft, functioning as compact and autonomous units that house all the basic necessities for life in space.
.
Now, the Habitat Module has landed in front of the port of Cartagena, atop a structure perched on the Muralla del Mar. It colonizes the site, equipping it with the essential services needed to transform it into a comfortable and functional home.
.
This project explores the contrast between a highly compact, technologically advanced core and its immediate surroundings. While the module relies on cutting-edge construction techniques, the space around it evokes a sense of warmth and grounding—shaped by natural textures and organic forms.
