SANTA MARIA ROCCA MAGGIORE
The apartment undergoing renovation is located on the second floor of a historic building, nestled within the distinctive context of the Veronetta neighborhood, just a short distance from the ancient city center. The interior space is arranged over two levels, with dual exposure and roof openings featuring sloped pitches.
The living area has been reimagined to enhance the verticality of the space and harness the zenithal light, thanks to the addition of new interior windows and glass parapets that help create a unified, open, and luminous environment.
The layout is defined by two double-height white volumes that organize the entrance, kitchen, and living room areas, while discreetly enclosing the staircase and a built-in storage unit.
Spaces that were once dark and poorly lit are now unified through the use of light and delicate materials, which amplify the natural brightness and bring a sense of harmony and lightness to the entire home. Pale wood flooring, white plaster walls, and transparent glass elements compose a minimal yet refined palette that engages with the light and expands the perception of space.
