Bird Observation Tower
The architecture is set within the wetland landscape of Vallesanta with a rational, low-impact layout, ensuring environmental integration and sustainable use.
Standing 11 meters tall, it is designed to optimize birdwatching while minimizing visual interference. Organized across multiple half-levels with targeted openings, it offers strategic viewpoints without altering the ecosystem's balance.
Organized across multiple half-levels with targeted openings, it offers strategic viewpoints without altering the ecosystem's balance. The structure, made of glulam and solid larch wood with metal joints and a cladding of variable-density wooden slats, ensures ventilation, durability, and a formal and chromatic harmony with the surroundings. The entrance features a wooden information wall for cyclists and visitors. The shaded ground floor, equipped with seating, serves as an extension of the built volume, a space for rest and further contemplation.
The work functions as a landscape infrastructure, contributing to the enhancement of the ecosystem itself as a form of hypernatural extension.
