Students housing, Campus HEC
This project acts simultaneously to revive the modernist soul of the site, while bringing it into the 21st Century. Situated on the edge of the Saclay Plateau and the Bièvre Valley, the HEC campus enjoys a privileged placement. The 138-hectare park combines top-of-the-line sporting facilities, a vast wooded area, and a plateau that is home to a number of buildings by the architect René Coulon, dating from 1962. In pulling the campus closer to the plateau, the design maintains the original architect’s concept of buildings on stilts, floating amongst the trees, without any vis-à-vis.
