The new volume subtly penetrates the original house on two levels:
The bedroom which is accessed from the staircase landing, to create a seamless flow, and a small window in bed that area provides a discreet visual connection to the upper-floor living room.

Occupying approximately just 10% of the backyard, four spatial volumes were organized within a compact footprint of 1.5 × 4 m2 x 6 m height. These spatial volumes are formed by adding and composing simple and minimal elements: a single wall, floor slabs of varying sizes tailored to specific needs.
This light-touch intervention is intended to maintain a respectful relationship with the old structure while adding valuable new space.
