Villa CG
The Villa CG project focuses on the relationship between interior and exterior, enhancing the surrounding landscape. Large openings on all façades allow natural light to flow through the spaces and offer a dual panoramic view: on one side, the Versilia sea; on the other, the Apuan Alps. The small pre-existing balconies are transformed into a continuous terrace that wraps around the building—an element that amplifies the perception of space and blurs the boundary between architecture and landscape. The original building had a clear separation between interior spaces and the outdoor area, which has been overcome by a vertical incision that cuts through the façade and extends over two levels, creating a new sense of continuity between the ground floor, the first floor, and the garden. The interiors are defined by a minimalist language and neutral materials. Marble cladding delineates the spaces, while light oak elements—such as the staircase, kitchen table, and bathroom furnishings—introduce a material contrast that warms the atmosphere.
