Apartment TS
Located in the heart of Stockholm, this apartment is situated within a historically significant building dating back to 1915. The renovation focused on preserving the original architectural details while addressing the needs of contemporary living.
The apartment’s layout, which had been modified multiple times over more than a century, was reimagined to improve flow and functionality. Bedrooms and bathrooms are now strategically positioned to face the quiet interior courtyard, providing a calm retreat from the bustle of the city. Meanwhile, the social spaces are oriented toward the main street, benefiting from the morning light and offering a connection to the vibrant urban landscape outside.
An enfilade of three rooms—seamlessly integrated into an open space—now houses the kitchen, living room, and bibliotheque, creating a harmonious sequence of rooms that encourage both social interaction and contemplation.
The careful redesign maintains a balance between preserving the apartment’s historic charm and introducing modern comforts and details in oak wood and Carrara marble, ensuring it remains both a functional living space and a timeless home.
