CADFEM Headquarter
A global company needs an office building for up to 180 workstations. The new company headquarters should reflect the values and philosophy of the company and be open to contemporary, modern working with a balance between desk work, creative breaks, play, sports and inspiration.
The typology is given an expressionist form with a high recognition value. The double star-shaped volume zones the open spaces outside into places to spend time and forms two rings of rooms with naturally lit atriums inside.
The timber frame construction with load-bearing beams and columns simplifies the installation and removal of partition walls and the adaptation of interior spaces to a wide range of requirements. The overall structure makes it easy to divide the building. Parts of the building or floors can therefore be flexibly partitioned off and sublet.
The façade is clad with timber cladding made of pre-greyed silver fir. The golden anodised wood-aluminium windows and a red sunshade create an iridescent colour and atmosphere that changes depending on the position and intensity of the sun.
