Bus stop
The assignment was a new bus stop to the small village of Loučky, in a more suitable location and as little visible as possible.
We grasped the invisibility of the bus stop rather as its obviousness in the space. That is why the chapel, often present on the village squares in the vicinity, but missing in Loučky, became the the form of our proposal. The stop thus acquires the shape of a landscape funnel, heading across the pond into the open landscape, floating freely above the meadow. The interior space is open, allowing the surrounding environment to flow freely, culminating in the highest part of the belfry - a ceramic carillon. The building is clad on the outside with natural tar painted planks, the interior is light and treated with oil.
On the east side, the building is equipped with a wooden swing to shorten the wait for the bus. The building itself is based on a combination of two poured concrete footings and two steel profiles. On the western side, a village bed of perennials is created, which we planted ourselves. Over time, the stop should become something more than a simple stop, it should fulfill the function of an entertainment element, a gazebo or an imaginary center of the village.
