Individual house
The site is amazing. A little away, in the second row of houses on the street, in an essentially residential context. Set back from the coast, the land opens to the north onto a large meadow. The project took shape based on these first attentions to the site. Take advantage of sunshine for interior spaces and the garden. Orient the openings to frame the desired views while preserving the privacy of the house.
The initial design aims for a form of obviousness and simplicity. Take your place in the landscape, without giving in to the temptation of the vernacular.
A large household anchored to the ground.
To the North a folding covered with slates to protect the interior space. Facing the fields, the house seems to emerge from the ground like a granite pluton.
Each material stands for itself, natural.
The details are thought out in their simplest conception in the service of the project and its realization.
