Showroom in via dei Giardini
The SuperSpatial project is a sequence of subtractions, excavations within the building’s volume. The space is conceived almost like that of a quarry, where each extracted volume makes room for a cooking machine.
Stone, the natural material composing the base of an elegant residential building, a perfect testament to Milanese post-war style, is excavated to house the new Officine Gullo showroom. The project is a sequence of subtractions, excavations within the building’s volume. The space is conceived almost like that of a quarry, where each extracted volume makes room for a kitchen or an exhibited piece. Stone platforms, stratified at different heights, transform into true urban scenes, stages where Officine Gullo’s creations take on a leading role. The terrain configuration, through these steps, facilitates a natural transition from street level, simultaneously allowing a reconnection with the external environment.
A central steel backbone serves as the connecting element between these platforms, symbolizing technology and dynamism. It not only organizes and serves the spaces functionally and in terms of systems, but also reveals the brand’s distinctive production philosophy and material values. The spatial experience is enriched by video installations, exhibited objects, and modifiable curtain systems, through which visitors can immerse themselves in the creative processes and the variety of materials used. Precious and metallic materials blend seamlessly with stone, a chromatically neutral element also crafted with care. The ceiling treatment resembles that of an exhibition space, where every detail, from the position of lights to colors, is meticulously designed to amplify the characteristics, chromatics, and singularities of the exhibited works, establishing an environment where architecture becomes the narrator of the artisanal mastery that characterizes Officine Gullo.
