A142-Cavendish
Nestled beside the picturesque Buttes-Chaumont Park, this apartment, ensconced within a 1970s building, has undergone complete renovation. The project revolves around accentuating and amplifying the inherent potentials of the space, including its dual aspects, concrete ceiling hidden behind suspended ceilings…, while rectifying its proportions to make the best use of every sqm of this 47m² apartment.
The double aspects of the apartment and its multiplied views have been amplified with the play of mirrors and the reflection of light on the lacquered wall separating the living and sleeping part.
The lacquered green wall extends the exterior greenery of the garden into the interior of the apartment. This wall is alive and changes under the different lights and seasons. The bespoke finish of the wall has been meticulously crafted by the skilled artisans (Atelier Mayeul Gauvin). The depth and vitality of the wall has been achieved through layers of nuanced greens and glassy textures.
A central aluminum core discretely houses storage solutions and a bathtub niche, while dividing the bathroom from the bedroom. The incorporation of rounded corners throughout imparts a gentle, organic flow to the apartment. The rounded mirror (Inspired by Coco Chanel Maison, rue Cambon) reflects lights and views into the bathroom with no window.
Full-height doors, custom-crafted sans frames, maintain the visual continuity of the concrete ceiling and do not interrupt the wholeness of the aluminum core.
A luminous yellow Tadlekat rounded ceiling crowns the bathtub niche and creates a shower of light in this room.
