Rauter Park
The park is the former garden of the director’s villa and the land of a factory. On the spot where the villa once stood, we are building a new community centre. As if the park had been waiting for this all along, the sightlines, connections, orientation and structure of paths are restored. The natural condition of the park folds back into its original configuration.
We are building a villa again, only this time for the neighbourhood. A real community centre with a buvette and space for the park supervisors on the ground floor. On the first floor, overlooking the park, a large multipurpose room for sports or parties and, in the invisible mezzanine, changing rooms for the auditorium. The multipurpose hall is like a lantern in the park. From there, the view is all the more special, looking out over the entire park and beyond.
