In 1973 the St. Maximilian Kolbe Church was build according to plans of the architect Jo Filke. Until 2015 the church was used by the local community of the district Wilhelmsburg in Hamburg. Until 2022 the church was renovated and converted into a kindergarten and a communal center, now called Malteser Campus. The conversion and extension was planed by LH architects from Hamburg.
