USIN is a new model of productive space located in the heart of the urban and industrial ecosystem of Lyon Parilly Factories, serving as a totem site for industry in the city. USIN complements the offer of industrial and logistical platforms and zones in the Metropolis by offering industrialists a unique production and innovation space open to the city.
The project for the project house is located in building 107 of the industrial site. Its purpose is to be a landmark at the entrance of the site and serve as an office and commercial showcase for SERL.
The project aims to be exemplary, and the design team's goal was to transform rather than create, in line with the identity and preservation of the site's industrial heritage. This flexible, dynamic, and innovative workspace is a place for sharing and presentation, furnished with tailor-made materials from a reuse stream.
The approach to materiality and a new way of thinking about office space are central to the project. Thus, the team proposes the use of bio-sourced materials to provide a certain quality to spaces that were not originally designed to accommodate this type of use.
