Multigenerational House Schlachtensee
The multigenerational house is situated on a small plot in the second row on the Schlachtensee. In order to be able to to meet the different living and usage requirements that the future residents would have of the building, the interior spaces were kept free of load-bearing elements as far as possible. The supporting structure of the house is reduced almost exclusively to the outer shell. In this way, very different floor plans could be planned and implemented.
Without the garage extension the house occupies a floor space of 13,5 x 13,5 m. The windows running around the corner dominate the orientation tot he outside space. They direct the gaze diagonally into the depths of the densely built-up old villa plots. The roof terrace also allows views of the lake. The shell of the house is double shelled, made of concrete with a high proportion of recycled aggregates. The intermediate insulation consists of foamed waste glass.
Recesses and indentations and the small folded roof fit the house into the dimensions, orientation and design of the surrounding buildings and their individual parts.
