House in Holsbeek
A new family home on a sloped terrain on the edge of the forest with respect for its context, the surrounding trees, its orientation and the different viewpoints.
The building volume is pushed into the terrain with the entrance and bedrooms located on the ground flour and the different living areas on the second floor with views on the forest on one side and treetops on the other.
The house nestles itself on the plot, between the trees, with no apparent front or back façade but an angled volume which interacts and creates a dialogue with its surroundings.
Interior voids strengthen the internal relationship and large protruding windows generate lush views on the nearby landscape.
