Casa Tallers
Jesús and Modesto wanted to change their apartment in Ciutat Vella neighborhood that was dark, so compartmentalized and with noise problems. They wanted to escape from corridors and had the need of a great daytime space where they could invite their friends to try Jesús’ Agua de Valencia cocktails and a quiet and undisturbed nighttime space for them.

With the central box that houses the toilet and works as a distributor, we could save on areas of passage and loss of space. The perimeter of the wet area is followed by a large piece of furniture that distributes the living room and dining room. The library that exhibits their books and objects collected in their travels and house changes, serves the dining area and collects the coats freeing up the hall.

The meanderings piece of furniture is built with varnished water-repellent MDF, the wet area gives prominence to the green and macael marble and in the bedroom the custom-made furniture takes advantage of each free space for storage, suggesting the beach interiors of the 80s and the blinds on the Barcelona facades.
