Jost hotel in Bordeaux
The project is located in a new mixed-development zone near the Saint-Jean station area. The building is surrounded by railway lines and an industrial heritage made of steel and stones.
The building, constructed for Legendre Immobilier, consists of 11 levels: 2 semi-burried with the main lobby and a cabaret, 1 for the restaurant and its kitchen, 2 for dormitories, 5 for standard and luxury rooms, and 1 attic floor hosting a panoramic terrace, a rooftop bar and a swimming-pool.
The facade is both thick and generous: made of glass and prefabricated pieces of load-bearing concrete tinted with Bordeaux stone, it evokes strongness but also provides a lot of light in the building. The construction is not deep: averagely 5,8m from the central core to the facades.
