Casa Passino
A man from the future, an apartment from the present with objects from the past that were inspired by the future.
An apartment in one of the most beautiful lots in Garbatella Vecchia, number 12, behind the Palladium, brutalized by a refurbish in the 80's that, with extensive use of marble and stucco, had deprived it of its original elements (with the exception of the doors, only painted) and of that simple and familiar dimension typical of popular houses.
The spirit of the renovation was to recover that lost atmosphere, although revisited in a contemporary key.
The use of decorated terrazzo tiles defines and divides the entrance, living and dining areas without the need to raise walls. A light corner window separates the kitchen, keeping it visible and making the most of the available light. The sleeping area with two bedrooms and the bathroom have remained intact.
White walls and several pieces of vintage furniture give back to the young couple of owners a light, simple and vital house, like them.
