Torre Julia, designed for the independent elderly, has quickly become one of the symbols of postolympic Barcelona. The 17-floor tower, which won the Barcelona city prize for architecture and town planning, is divided into three parts. Each part features a communal space where the shared activities organized by the residents take place. These spaces represent the core of the project and are clearly highlighted in the façade. The tower presents large corridors with views of the city, external stairs, double-height spaces and a terrace with a garden enabling the elderly to socialize and live their lives independently.
