Clement David Cultural Center
Volumes are organized around a central space that allows on one hand to separate and qualify the different functions, and on the other hand to give it a convivial dimension. This fragmentation enables it to be integrated into the existing urban environment.
The outdoor central part in steps gives a festive atmosphere and identifies the building clearly as a cultural center. It is an open-air performance device that benefits both the users and the community.
The two built volumes on both sides contain the indoor cultural programs. Music rooms, dance rooms, a library... are served by external corridors. This circulation in periphery of the central space helps to establish a link between the performance area and the different activity rooms.
