House EDB
Renovation of a two-bedroom flat in a 1960s apartment building in Antwerp.
New external joinery was installed to replace the old single-glazed windows. The kitchen and bathroom were also renovated, along with the lighting. The wall between the kitchen and the living area was broken down: the kitchen is now connected to the living room in one movement by means of a large worktop that also serves as a study or workstation and as a sideboard.
The new bathroom furniture was placed around a new partition wall with black tiles. Furthermore, existing materials were preserved as much as possible: doors, floors and radiators were preserved; the wooden floor was stained in a fresh colour.
