GARDENERS HALL
The town hall wanted to offer its inhabitants family gardens, 53 plots of land (phase 1) where everyone cultivates what he wants. This place is nevertheless collective and vector of social link. The creation of a hall is therefore associated with the project in order to offer both a space of conviviality, but also a workplace (office and storage) with an educational purpose. The hall hosts schools or workshops around the theme of the garden. The project consists of two volumes connected by a slender roof. The intermediate space thus created offers a space sheltered from the rain and the sun to host the events of the association. It frames the landscape with in the foreground the square of gardens, extension of the hall and in the second plan the gardens. The hall gives direct access to the office/sanitary block on one side and a summer kitchen on the other. On the back of this one, a storage room for gardening equipment is accessible from the gable. The orientation of the building and its wide overhang allows to offer shade whatever the hour in summer. The materials used, economical and rustic, echo the shelters of gardens while being contemporary in implementation and details.
