In a walk through the turbine hall of the Electricity Factory, art happens to the visitor, just as life happens to people. On the first visit to the old turbine hall, it was immediately clear to the makers that the building is a spectacle. Instead of pushing it into the background with art, they let the artworks merge with the space.
Ω, Om, Ohm, Omega is a collective exhibition created with and through the work of Mark Bain, Thomas Bakker (a series of improvisations during the duration of the exhibition), James Beckett with HSUHF & Natalia Domínguez Rangel, Sanford Biggers, Lennart De Neef (this work will be installed in October), Timo Demollin, Diego Diez, Thea Djordjadze (this work will be installed in October), Carlos Irijalba, Runa Islam (this work will be installed in October), Gabriel Lester, Jill Magid, Sanja Medic, Mick la Rock, Leonard van Munster, Elena Narbutaitė, Karin Iturralde Nurnberg, Melik Ohanian, Antonis Pittas, Elisa van Joolen, Vincent Vulsma, Herwig Weiser, Marta Worner and Johan Zetterquist.
