Founded in 1919 Weimar, the new school would be built in Dessau in 1925 where it would operate until it was closed in 1933 under pressure from the Nazis. Those 14 years remain a significant chapter in art & design history. The building was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Status in 1972 and renovations were completed in 2006.
