Tennis Club de Paris
Restaurant Refurbishment
Studio Vincent Eschalier was asked to rethink and redesign the restaurant of the historical Tennis Club de Paris, in order for it to correspond to the image of the club : contemporary and elegant.
The restaurant stands in a 1930s building, with a srict and precise architecture, in the heart of the 16th arrondissement. It is flooded in natural light by three entirely glazed facades and punctuated by a projection of concrete posts found after a complete cleaning.
The reflection is focused both on the optimisation of space and the creation of a setting for lively interactions and warm hospitality. Various typologies of seating, combining benches, bistrot tables and high tables allow an organic appropriation of the venue.
The restaurant offers three more intimate lounging areas, orientated towards the pool, the terrace or the fireplace. This rhythm is reinforced by the creation of custom-made furniture in solid oak, which structures the space by incorporating vegetation and storage suitable for catering.
The architectural desire is to play with the existing building’s raw character, by incorporating a play on materials such as wood and brass which echo the esthetic language of tennis and of the Parisian café. Finally, the choice of lighting fixtures brings a contemporary touch and marks the various atmospheres desired within the restaurant.
Studio Vincent Eschalier selects contemporary furniture from the HAY and TON furnishing houses to create an atypical and modern atmosphere.
Low armchairs, modular leather sofas, brass coffee tables, round dining table, floor lamps and HAY table lamp.
TON wooden armchairs and dining chairs, stools, bistro tables and living room tables.
