CREATION OF THE ART CENTER FOR DIGITAL CULTURES AND TECHNOLOGY
IMAL is a very unique place in the cultural landscape of Brussels.
Its diverse cultural offer and its urban location make much more than an arts center.
This culture of co-production, deeply rooted in its time, is created, taught, crafted and spread in these premises.
An accessible museum, at the crossroads of two districts, able to unify a varied public through the transversality of its activities.
The rehabilitation project consists of bringing the city into the building, by creating a large aviary on which the various spaces that composed the museum are displayed.
A synergy between the place and the public is created.
More than a place of work, experimentation or exhibition, the productive and extroverted function highlighted by the architectural design makes it possible to benefit from an active and urban image.
