ROUGET DE LISLE
On the outskirts of post-war housing developments, in an ever changing and disparate landscape, the project aims at bringing a feeling of calm by the strict order of its facades. The use of luxurious materials such as prefab concrete, natural limestone, laquered steel railings and window frames, tends to break the general idea of what social housing looks like. Assembling two volumes over a two-level plinth, the project creates a generous porch like an « urban living room ». This porch distributes a largely glazed mezzanine thats serves a common room for the residents.
