FERDINAND
A townhouse is entirely renovated for a new composed family. Only the front part is preserved. A relatively heavy programme and a north-facing rear facade require a well-considered compact stacking. The classic dark core is lit up by means of a void. A concrete structure is introduced giving the modest house a grandeur and allure. The limited surface area is compensated by large heights and gives the rooms a rich character. The octagonal columns allow a nice connection with the diagonal beams and are a reference to classical columns.
