Zürichsee-Gut
The new “Zürichsee-Gut” is built on the site of the former “Buechdrucki” in Stäfa, Switzerland. Its building structure is based on the architectural history of the former ensemble. The former building conglomerate is replaced by a contemporary stone volume. The architectural expression of the building as a “residential and commercial building on the lake with a large park” is committed to its exquisite location. Access to the house is via a shared portico, which forms a high-quality front area to the individual house entrances for living and office space and also provides a direct connection to the lake. The 21 apartments are related to each other through their spatial structure. An entreé opens up to a sequence of living rooms and a group of private rooms, comprising dressing room, bathroom and bedroom, where a mutual balcony connects to another room. The kitchen structures the living area which can be extended by an adjoining room.
The staggered building development creates a versatile relationship to the park within the apartments. The terraces, differentiated in their depth, follow this development as a spatial layer and are divided between the individual apartments with solid natural stone walls. Filigree sliding glass separate additional seasonal rooms, which as such extend the range of rooms.
