89 housing units, offices and local shops above ground ; mall and public car park with 450 spaces underground.
The new Eaux-Vives quarter offers a great range of public facilities on a site that offers a high density. It exploits the urban fabric around it to create a new public space.
Each volume has developped its own identity, which has been made possible by the local plan. The first building (D) displays a few facade recesses that highlight the programmatic stratification while ensuring a strong presence at the entrance of the site. The second building (E) tends to blend into the urban fabric by its simplicty of shape.
The relatively small depth in building D provides the opportunity for dual-aspect apartments. The layout offers a fluid living and dining area benefiting from both the sun on the southern side and the view on the northern side. Here the traditional day / night separation gives way to a more informal distribution.
Building E relies on a different approach that frees the entire facade by bringing the vertical distribution to a central core. The apartments are organized in a more traditional way by separating the day area from the sleeping area.
