RF HOUSE
RF House is a proposal of insertion and valorization of the domestic environment within a pristine location. The conditions of the nearly 3.5 acre site gave the possibility to divide the 8,000 ft2 construction area of the program into three independent volumes connected by a central path that allows different visuals towards the surrounding landscape.
One of the main concerns of the design team was the use of materials such as treated wood and apparent concrete to present a series of volumes, floating in the ground, as a remembrance of pre-existing objects in a context, referring to the work of Donald Judd as a value of occupation and experimentation.
The project integrates a single-family housing program with flexible spaces so that they adapt to the needs of the family over time.
