Dichotomies of Power
Dichotomies of Power calls on the interpretive capacities of the visitor to submerge into a three dimensional representation of power: the real, the symbolic and the imagined.
THE REAL, Represented by the extinct colonial tradition of the production of coins / the most common way of representing the power of a nation.
THE SYMBOLIC, Represented by the pyramids, which recall the pre-Hispanic times previously celebrated in the same place / symbol of universal power in different cultures around the world.
THE IMAGINED, Represented by the artisanal technique of papier-mâché newpapers that captures the last analogous witness of power in modern times / the transference of information.
