A small wooden cube on a concrete platform inserted among vineyards becomes meeting and working point for eight retiree. The project features an equipment deposit and an space to rest and enjoy the landscape – a place to work and taste good wine among friends. Dry stone walls traditionally used for vineyard terracing are essential to the project concept: The small 3x3m cabin lays on one of them. In addition to its terracing function, the wall also contains the deposit. The simple cube, made of vertical larch wood panels, is open towards the vineyards. Working with existing, giving new life to traditional landscaping elements, a play of moving facades: open and closed.
